TRACE HAMITER & FAMILY
I believe that there is a lot more that can be done in reaching our world for the glory of God. I think we all feel that deep inside us. We see our world today and we know that more has to be done. I believe there’s a burning in us all to do more, the only thing is that far too often we get distracted or we just drift back into maintaining the status quo. I started All Things Ministries because I wanted to open the door to do more, I’m now leading it full time because I want to give my life to doing what’s not being done yet for the Kingdom of God. I desire to become all things and do all things so that Christ may be magnified.
Cassie and I both graduated from Auburn University in 2004, have been married for over 15 years now, and have 5 amazing kids! We have been in full time collegiate ministry for basically our entire marriage. I received my Masters of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and my Doctorate of Ministry from Beeson Divinty School. Cassie and I desire to live in absolute surrender to the Lord, walking in whatever He leads us. Our core approach to ministry is summed up in 1 Thessalonians 2:8 “Having so fond an affection for you, we were well-pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God but also our own lives, because you had become very dear to us"
I believe that our lives are not our own. Our lives are from the Father, through the Father, and to the Father for His glory and that alone! And the Lord is continually giving me a deeper understanding of what a life led by this truth looks like. I believe that all of life is discipleship and that discipleship is imparting your entire life. I believe that in scripture when the Lord speaks of the Church that He loves and equips to send out He’s speaking to the body of Christ as a whole, and not just about one particular building or another. I desire to come alongside the church in Auburn and Opelika, where the Lord has planted me for such a time as this, equipping and spurring believers on, discipling and teaching those who are faithful to teach others also, “becoming all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.” And as a part of the All Things Ministries team, I get to do exactly that!
I graduated from Auburn University in 2017 with a nursing degree that I truly believe the Father used to equip me for my roles in full time collegiate ministry over the past 3 years far more than I could have ever imagined! I desire more than anything to walk in obedience to the Father, whatever that may look like, because I’ve learned that obedience is always His greatest glory, and by the grace of God, it's also my greatest good.
JD & EMILY STRAWN
We believe that true life can only be found in Christ and that Jesus alone is Lord and Savior. Because we are sinners that have been given grace and life from God, a deep conviction and desire has been worked in our hearts to spend our lives testifying to the grace, joy, and freedom found in Christ. We are privileged to be able to work with All Things doing exactly this! As we endeavor to reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus, we hold fast to his Word in John 15:16, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”
Emily - “I graduated from Auburn University in December of 2020 with a Psychology degree. Coming to college, I knew that I wanted to follow the Lord (Praise God for giving me that desire!) However, the Father provided more abundantly than I could’ve asked. He led me to some of His sons and daughters that have helped me more deeply understand what taking ownership of one’s own faith looks like and the importance of claiming and believing that Christ is Lord even when His plan is a mystery to us. I am beyond thankful for His goodness in allowing even me to be a part of what He is doing on these college campuses”
John Daniel - “I graduated from Auburn University in May of 2021 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout my time in college, I was able to be a part of All Things as a student through the Oaks Retreat at Auburn. The Lord grew me tremendously in my walk with Him through my time serving as a student, and I trust will continue to as I serve now on full-time staff.
I believe that all of us as believers share a simple call on our life to be ambassadors for Christ, who has entrusted to us the ministry of reconciliation as it says in 1 Corinthians 5:17-21. I believe our Father has given each of us unique passions, desires, and talents to serve Him in the places where He sees best fit. I am so excited and humbled that the Lord has given me the opportunity to serve Him with All Things Ministries. The Lord has been growing in me a desire to serve Hispanic people groups since I was a sophomore in high school. He has opened my eyes to the needs of Hispanic community here in Auburn- both physical and spiritual. I am expectant that the Lord will move in and through All Things Ministries to reach the Hispanic community in our city and I am beyond humbled to be a small part of this expansion of His Kingdom.
I graduated from Auburn University in May of 2021 with a degree in Exercise Science. I have always been passionate about this field of study and would love to use my degree in ministry in the future. My time at Auburn was life-changing in so many ways, and I truly believe that the Lord used it to prepare and equip me for such a time as this. In all that I do and wherever the Lord sends me I seek to live out what Paul speaks of in Acts 20:24, “To not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.”
